Massey University Doctoral Scholarships are awarded to high achieving students to provide financial support for their doctoral study.

The award of the scholarship focuses on the academic excellence of the student, without limiting the selection to GPA, as well as ensuring that decisions are made in line with the University, College, and School research strategies.

Value and Tenure

Massey University Doctoral Scholarships

The Massey University Doctoral Scholarship is available to both domestic and international students, as well as full-time and part-time candidates.

The scholarship value for full-time recipients is a stipend of $25,000 per annum plus tuition and non-tuition fees, for a maximum duration of 36 months. The value for part-time students is a stipend of $15,000 per annum plus tuition and non-tuition fees, for a maximum duration of 60 months.

Massey University Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarships

The prestigious Massey University Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarship is awarded to the highest ranked applicants. Both full-time and part-time domestic students will be considered for this scholarship.

The scholarship value for full-time recipients is a stipend of $30,000 per annum plus tuition and non-tuition fees, for a maximum duration of 36 months. The value for part-time students is a stipend of $18,000 per annum plus tuition and non-tuition fees, for a maximum duration of 60 months.
