1. Modes of transport from Goa Airport
There are basically three ways to travel from Dabolim (Goa) Airport to different places in Goa
- Taxi
- Bus (Airport Bus)
- Bus (Local Bus)
Taxi: The taxi doesn’t run on meter here and it can be expensive as compared to other cities like Delhi, Bangalore or Mumbai. On average, you may have to pay 30-40 INR per km for auto or taxi. Prepaid taxis are available at the airport counter. They are usually costly so you can come outside the airport, and you will see many drivers waiting in line. They will definitely want to earn some extra money by saying skyrocket price but be smart and bargain with them. The best things would be to ask the price of the prepaid taxi at the airport counter and then bargain the price with the local taxi driver. The drivers are usually waiting for a long time to get a passenger and they can take you for a little cheaper than the actual rate.
There is no Ola/Uber in Goa. However, there is a local taxi app called Goamiles app which is like Ola/Uber in Goa to book a taxi. You can find a very good deal (20-30%) reduced price in this app.

Bus: If you are traveling alone and do not want to pay the hefty taxi fare then opt for a bus. Goa government runs Airport bus from Goa Airport to Calangute/Panjim. Bus tickets can be booked at the Airport counter just close to the exit gate or from Red bus website or app or Kadamba Transport website. The prices are around 150 INR for AC bus. The buses are limited in numbers and follow a specific time. If you do not get the direct bus then you can take the local buses. You may have to take 2-3 local buses to reach to North or South Goa from the Airport.
2. Goa Airport to Panjim
Goa airport to Panjim distance is around 25 Km. You can get a taxi, bus to reach here
Goa Airport to Panjim Taxi Fare: It is around 900 INR during the day and around 1000/1200 INR during the night.
Goa Airport to Panjim Bus: There is a direct bus available from Dabolim Airport to Panjim at the below timings. You can book the bus at the Airport counter just close to the exit gate or from Red bus website or app or Kadamba Transport website.
Goa Airport to Calangute Bus/Goa Airport to Panjim Bus timing
Goa Airport to Panjim Local Bus: You will have to change 2-3 buses and it may take 2 hours or more.
Route: Airport – Cortalim – Panjim
3. Goa Airport to Calangute
Goa airport to Calangute distance is around 40 Km. You can get a taxi, bus to reach here
Goa Airport to Calangute Taxi Fare: It is around 1200 INR during the day and around 1500 INR during the night.
Goa Airport to Calangute Bus: There is a direct bus available from Dabolim Airport to Calangute at the above timings. You can book the bus at the Airport counter just close to the exit gate or from Red bus website or app or Kadamba Transport website.
If you do not get the direct bus then you can take this route for a local bus. It can be exhaustive and you will have to change 3 buses and it may take 3 hours or more.
Route: Airport – Cortalim – Panjim – Calangute
4. Goa Airport to Baga
Since Calangute is 2-3 km from Baga, you can follow the Goa Airport – Calangute route to reach to Baga. The taxi fare is almost the same as Airport-Calangute. The bus route is also the same
5. Goa Airport to Candolim
Goa airport to Candolim distance is around 35 Km. You can get a taxi, local bus to reach here
Goa Airport to Candolim Taxi Fare: It is around 1200 INR during the day and around 1500 INR during the night.
Goa Airport to Candolim Bus: There is no direct bus so you will have use this route to reach Candolim from Goa Airport. The bus journey can take around 3 hours.
Goa Airport – Chicalim – Panjim – Candolim
6. Goa Airport to Anjuna
Goa airport to Anjuna distance is around 45 Km. You can get a taxi, local bus to reach here
Goa Airport to Anjuna Taxi Fare: It is around 1500-2000 INR
Goa Airport to Anjuna Bus: There is no direct bus so you will have use this route to reach Palolem from Goa Airport. The bus journey can take around 3-3.5 hours.
Goa Airport – Chicalim – Panjim – Mapusa – Anjuna
7. Goa Airport to Arambol
Goa airport to Arambol distance is around 60 Km. You can get a taxi, local bus to reach here
Goa Airport to Arambol Taxi Fare: It is around 2000-2500 INR depending on how good you are at the bargaining
Goa Airport to Arambol Bus: There is no direct bus so you will have use this route to reach Palolem from Goa Airport. The bus journey can take around 3.5-4 hours.
Goa Airport – Chicalim – Panjim – Mapusa – Arambol
8. Goa Airport to Palolem
Goa airport to Palolem distance is around 60 Km. You can get a taxi, local bus to reach here
Goa Airport to Palolem Taxi Fare: It is around 2000-2500 INR depending on how good you are at the bargaining
Goa Airport to Palolem Bus: There is no direct bus so you will have use this route to reach Palolem from Goa Airport. The bus journey can take around 3-3.5 hours.

Travel Tips
If you are on a short trip to Goa and flying back from Dabolim Airport. Then I would advise contacting a travel agent near the airport and getting a bike once you reach. You can return the bike when you are coming back to the Airport. I did this during my travel to Bali and that really saved time and money.

Recommended App and Booking Sites
Flight Booking Sites: I always try to find the best month and city to fly using Sky Scanner and Kayak and then look out offers in Goibibo, MakeMyTrip and book wherever I found the cheapest deal.
Hotel Booking Sites: I first look for a decently located hostel or hotel in booking.com which has 8+ rating and 50+ review and then check its price in MakeMyTrip and book accordingly. I do find some hotel prices are very high in booking.com and comparatively low at MMT. Hotelscombined also gives a decent deal from time to time.
Adventure Activities: If you do not know about Klook, you are missing a big saving. You can save 20-30% of the ticket price when you book at Klook as compared to booking at the venue.
Trekking Trips: You can join any such group and take part in trekking events. Goa Hiking Association and Youth Hostel Association of India – Goa are popular clubs here for trekking and adventure activities.
