SERB NPDF (HRA Rules)
The SERB-National Post Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) is aimed to identify motivated young researchers and provide them support for doing research in frontier areas of science and engineering. The fellows will work under a mentor, and it is hoped that this training will provide them a platform to develop as an independent researcher.
The Fellowship, Research Grant and Overhead remains the same whereas HRA has been included with effective from 1st April, 2019.
Note: It has been noticed that SERB has started reducing the overhead amount from 1,00,000 INR to 50,000 INR for second year without prior notice.
Also there is a discrepancy about the deduction of Tax in different Institutes and Universities. Few Universities deduct tax whereas others don’t.
