I have graduated in the field of Applied Sciences and have completed my Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in November 2021. The title of my thesis was Design, Preparation, and Properties of Zeolitic Imidazole Frameworks (ZIFs) and Biochar Based Porous Materials for Adsorption of Pollutants. My current projects are based on zeolitic imidazole frameworks (ZIFs) with important industrial applications in catalysis, adsorption, separation, and purification of gases regarding their specific pore chemistry and molecular recognition. I have experience in design, synthesis, and testing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and tailoring their properties according to need.
As you can see, during the short span of my Ph.D. I have published 6 papers (SCI). Most of these journals are ranked in the A category of the scientific journal ranking (SJR) list. Moreover, more than 4 of my papers are under review in SCI journals. I have experience in writing research articles, including original research articles and scientific review articles. I also attended national and international conferences and received several honors. Additionally, I supervise undergraduate and graduate students to complete their projects and thesis during this time. My background and research interest are primarily driven by gaining 4 years of practical training in material chemistry, special MOFs, and porous materials. The details of my professional experience and research publications that have been published from my individual and collaborative work can be found in my attached CV.
My master thesis was catalytic combustion of organic wastes into fuels. In this project, I analyzed the effect of catalysis for the reduction of harmful emissions. I have expertise in novel material synthesis and masters in various characterization techniques, including (XRD, BET, IR, XPS, FTIR EXAFS, SEM, TEM, HRTEM, EDS, and UV-visible spectroscopy). I did my masters and bachelor’s in organic chemistry.
As an enticing research platform, I look forward to joining your fascinating research group with an intention to exploit my interest to impact lifelong breakthroughs genuinely. Finally, I believe I meet the English language requirement because I have good speaking and writing skills. You can judge my writing skills by looking at my research papers, while you can judge my spoken English level at the time of the interview. Additionally, I secured 7.0 / 9.0 bands in IELTS in 2016 to get admission to Ph.D.
